Doctor Roger Young

Roger YoungDr. Roger Young received his bachelors degree from the University of Utah in 1995 and his Doctor of Optometry from the University of California at Berkeley in 2000. He graduated as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa (the optometric honors society). He is a member of the Utah Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Young is the contact lens specialist in the office. He enjoys fitting soft and gas permeable contact lenses, contacts for astigmatism and bifocal contact lenses and other specialty contact lenses (such as lenses for keratoconus). He is a family eye care practitioner, but also is qualified for ocular disease management. He passed the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease examination by the Board of Examiners in Optometry in December of 1999.  Dr. Young is a certified fitter of Paragon CRT lenses for Corneal Refractive Therapy.  He also enjoys his humanitarian trips to the Navajo nation to help provide glasses to the navajo school children.

Dr. Young enjoys waterskiing, racquetball, softball, reading and camping with his wife and family.  He enjoys coaching his four boys in their sports and works with the varsity scouts in his neighborhood.
